California's Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA), for 3rd, 4th, & 5th grade begins in April Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will begin testing online with the Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA) beginning the week of April 28th through May 15th. Please make sure your child goes to sleep at a reasonable time and arrives at school by the first bell. Encourage them to take their time and do their best on the test.
