Studying Nature in L.A.

Free Webinar Series for Students and Families, presented in Spanish

At the Natural History Museum, we study and share stories of the amazing nature in and around Los Angeles from the past, present, and future. In each episode of this 3 part series, presented in Spanish, we’ll hear from a different Museum scientist, who will take us behind the scenes and out into the field, showcasing the real specimens and tools they use in their work. Participants will learn how and why we study nature in Los Angeles— including things like reptiles, marine mammals, and urban carnivores! Through our vast collections, innovative research techniques, and the help of community members, join us as we explore L.A.’s biodiversity by documenting our wild neighbors and sharing their stories!
